Terms of Service
Last updated 14 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Recharge, an AI-powered annual leave planning and team coordination platform. By creating an account or using Recharge, you agree to these terms. If you are using Recharge on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing on that organization’s behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.
The service
Recharge helps individuals plan leave and helps teams stay covered while they do. This includes leave booking and approvals, AI-generated suggestions, calendar and chat integrations, and an MCP interface for AI assistants. Recharge is a leave-management tool, not a full HR information system, payroll provider, or travel booking service.
Accounts and organizations
You need an account, managed through our identity provider Clerk, to use Recharge. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account. If you create or administer an organization workspace, you are responsible for the members you invite and the coverage rules, integrations, and approvals you configure for that workspace.
Subscriptions and billing
Personal and organization subscriptions are billed monthly through Clerk and Stripe. Organization plans are billed to the workspace, not individual members. You can view, update, or cancel your subscription under Settings → Billing. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Recharge for anything unlawful, or to misrepresent leave, coverage, or approvals.
- Attempt to access another account, organization, or its data without authorization.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service or its integrations.
- Use the MCP/AI interface to bypass an organization’s approval or coverage rules.
Integrations and third-party services
Connecting Google Calendar, Outlook, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Notion, or a webhook is optional and requires your authorization. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or data handling by these third-party services, though we’ll do our best to keep integrations working as their APIs change.
AI features and suggestions
AI suggestions, coverage scoring, and drafted bookings are decision support, not a guarantee of accuracy or a substitute for your organization’s own leave policy, employment law, or manager judgment. You and your organization remain responsible for final leave decisions and approvals.
Intellectual property
Recharge, its branding, and its underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. You keep ownership of the leave and organization data you put into Recharge; you grant us a license to process it solely to provide the service to you.
Disclaimer of warranties
Recharge is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI suggestions will always be optimal, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recharge is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including leave-planning decisions made using AI suggestions.
Termination
You may stop using Recharge and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put the service or other users at risk.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above, and where appropriate, we’ll notify you in the app.
